Sebastian is a physician and pharmacoepidemiologist with 25 years of experience in analyzing health care databases.

As a Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Harvard Medical School, Sebastian is a leading researcher in risk-adjustment and rapid-cycle analytics of large longitudinal health care databases, and has been published in more than 350 articles. Sebastian is the former president of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology and is an elected Fellow of multiple professional societies. He is an advisor to the FDA, EMA, CMS, PCORI and NIH. Sebastian received his medical training at the University of Munich and his doctorate degree in pharmacoepidemiology from Harvard University.
